  • Interest-free season ticket loan – This is available for staff who commute using public transport. It covers the cost of an annual season ticket and is paid back in ten equal instalments from salary payments.

  • Childcare vouchers – Merton employees can exchange part of their salary for childcare vouchers to pay for registered childcare. This enables them to avoid paying the tax and National Insurance on  the amount exchanged for vouchers.
  • Bike to Work scheme – In order to encourage employees to travel to work economically and to enjoy a healthy lifestyle, Merton offers the opportunity for employees to exchange part of their salary for vouchers to buy a bicycle.
